Your adventure begins in the remote Ocoee Gorge below Dam No. 3, where crystal-clear water charges through steep, narrow canyons surrounded by the scenic Cherokee National Forest. You’ll launch into a wild stretch of river that will challenge and thrill you from the very first rapid.
About halfway down, the river tightens and you’ll enter the world-famous Olympic Whitewater Competition Course, originally built for the 1996 Summer Olympic Games. This section of the Upper Ocoee is packed with heart-racing drops, powerful waves, and big water excitement that keeps your adrenaline pumping all day long.

Midway through your journey, we’ll pull over for a relaxing riverside picnic lunch — the perfect break before tackling the Middle Ocoee.
